Dr. Ajay Jayachandran

Postdoctoral researcher

Ajay's research focuses on investigating exciton transport and multiexciton correlations in low-dimensional semiconductors.

Ajay obtained an integrated BS-MS dual degree in Chemistry from IISER Mohali (India) in 2021. He received his doctoral degree in Chemistry from the University of Würzburg (Germany) under the guidance of Dr. Tobias Brixner in 2025 and joined our group that same year. His previous work focused on developing new tools to study nonlinear dynamics using lower- and higher-order coherent optical spectroscopy, controlling pulse parameters, and disentangling single- and multi-particle dynamics. In the Huang group, his current research focuses on studying exciton transport and multiexciton correlations in low-dimensional semiconductors. Outside the lab, Ajay enjoys birdwatching and reading.
